Clayton Austin’s Vintage Bride

September 2, 2009

This wedding is shot by the very talented Clayton Austin in San Antonio, Texas of all places.  I am always pleasantly surprised when I come across great weddings from my state. Probably because most Texas brides tend to be very traditional so when a wedding like this comes along, it is so hard not to get excited. How gorgeous is this bride? She looks like she comes straight out of a vintage postcard.

Editors Note: Thank you, Clayton for letting me know that this wedding was contracted to dbimages. He was the second shooter at this wedding.

Hi! Jennifer indeed was a beautiful bride. However I would just like to note that the wedding was actually contracted to dbimages and that I was only being utilized as a second shooter. Cheers!

Jennifer was indeed a smart lady to contract Professional photographers and not Mr. Austin. You were a beautiful bride!

However, in regards to Mr. Austin’s website, he only displays pictures that he is proud of. He has yet to post the pictures from our wedding, 6 months ago, on his blog. Possibly because the bulk of them were terrible and he is anything BUT proud of his work on that day…we have the bad pictures to prove it.

While he may get a good session off on occasion and for the “right” kind of customers; ie clients with money. Clayton MELTON of Clayton Austin Photography misrepresented his services to us from the beginning, made verbal promises he didn’t want to keep, failed to honor his contract and turned out to be, in our opinion, a self-aggrandizing, arrogant amateur with poor interpersonal skills when dealing with clients. Of particular interest to potential clients is the fact that Clayton Austin does not remove blemishes from finished, hand-edited photos even though he may promise up front that he does.(as he did for us). If he makes this promise, be a good consumer and get it in writing!
